Myrna Anderson, 85, long time resident of Cheyenne, moved to her final resting place after a long battle with cancer in Casper Wyoming. Myrna was born in Oak Creek Colorado on November 18, 1927 to Anna Pearl and Rice Pettus, and completed her journey of life July 17, 2013.|
Myrna's career consisted of waiting tables and hostesing at many local institutions including the Trail and Hitching Post and had a long time position as a civil servant at F.E. Warren A.F.B. as a medical technician, house and sign painter.
Myrna enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, and playing solitaire. She also enjoyed local politics and sat in on many sessions of the city council where she made her views known on many issues.
Myrna is survived by a sister Mary Ann Marlow from Kimble Nebraska, a son and his wife Ole and Sonia Anderson from Sheridan Wyoming, a daughter and her husband Kristi and David Desch from Casper, Wyoming, a daughter Randi Goodwin from Virgina Beach, Va, six grand children, Chelsey Rangel, Benjamin Anderson, Charles Anderson, Lisa Silva, Matthew Desch, and Ryan Anderson, as well as three great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Robert Lewis Anderson, and a brother Jack Bowlus. No services are planned per Myrna's request. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials and donations can be made to your local hospice or animal shelter.
