JOHNSTON CITY - Annabeth Rametta, 48, passed away at 5:43 a.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
She was born July 13, 1964, in Marion to Andrew Rametta and Mary Johnson-Knight.
Annabeth was a caterer for several years, while living in Warrior, Ala. She moved back to Johnston City when her health began to decline to be near her family and friends. She was strong in faith with God.
She was a 1982 graduate of Johnston City High School and continued her education with an associate's degree.
Annabeth enjoyed fishing, swimming and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed going deer hunting with her dad and brothers and her dog, Deammo.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Andy and Patty Rametta of Johnston City; mother, Mary Johnson-Knight of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; several brothers and sisters, Phillip Andrew (Karen) Rametta of Jonesboro, Ark., Angela Christina (Kevin) Stacks of Energy, Andrew Roy Rametta of Johnston City, Anthony Paul (Andrea) Rametta of Anderson, S.C., Adam Thomas (Lisa) Rametta of Delano, Minn., Annette Mari Gaddis of Carterville, Alan Michael Rametta of Thompsonville and Andrea Patrice Rametta of Johnston City; several aunts and uncles, Maxine (Bill) Simmons of Creal Springs and Jim Jennings, Carolyn (Howard) Miskelley, Shirley (Kerry) Riley, Paula Rametta and Debbie (Bob) Jeralds, all of Marion; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Andy Sr. and Maxine Violet Rametta; maternal grandparents, Roy "Soapy" and Beulah Johnson; and three aunts, Dorothy Lee Rametta, Annabeth Tuff and Betty June Jennings.
Services will be at 8 p.m. today, July 10, in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Inurnment will be at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
