MARION -- Harry L. Engledow, 84, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his home in Marion.
He was born Jan. 21, 1928, to Louis and Neva (Mowrer) Engledow, who preceded him in death.
Harry was the beloved husband of 62 years of Betty (Hawley), loving father of Steve (Sherry) and Doug (Pamela), dear grandfather of Andrew (Jillian), Scott and Kevin and cherished great-grandfather of Mia.
A 1946 graduate of Olney High School, Harry was a World War II U.S. Navy
veteran who served aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Antietam.
He was an engineer for Rock Island and Metra Railroads, retiring after 42 years of service.
Harry was a lifetime member of VFW
Post 1493 in Frankfort, a member of The American Legion and charter member of Frank-fort Car Club.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, in Frankfort. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
