Patricia Rausenberger

CARTERVILLE -- Patricia Jane Rausenberger, 70, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at her home.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, in Riggin-Pillatsch and Burke Funeral Home in Carterville with Pastor Stephen Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Wesleyan Fund, P.O. Box 2900, Bloomington, IL 61702-2900. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

Pat was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Earle O. and Virginia A. (Kerr) Corley. She married Alan H. Rausenberger on June 26, 1965, in Marseilles.

Survivors include her husband, Alan Rausenberger of Carterville; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Brian Frerichs of Marion and Beth and Dan Mueller of Chicago; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Anna Rausenberger of Herrin; grandchildren, Anna and Katie Frerichs, both of Marion, Morgan and McKenna Mueller, both of Chicago, and Sam and Alana Rausenberger, both of Herrin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Ann Corley of Rockford, John and Trixy Corley of Monticello, Rob and Kathy Corley of Philo and Jim and Bar-bara Corley of Champaign; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pat was a 1964 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. She was a second grade schoolteacher at Streator Elementary School and Carbondale Winkler and Parrish elementary schools for several years.

She enjoyed reading, boating on Crab Orchard Lake, collecting sea shells and travelling. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and SIU basketball fan. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
