What do you say about a lady who has been an inspiration to me, my entire life ? I grew up in the same neighborhood as Imy, Haynes and Jean Ann. We spent many a night at their home sharing dinner with Imy and her family. Jean Ann (her daughter) and I played together for hours daily and I'm sure we got into our share of trouble, as young kids, but Imy was such a wonderful wife and mother that I never saw her angry, nothing seemed to upset her. She was such a kindhearted friend, so full of laughter, compassion and love... for all she knew. Her strong work ethic was unsurpassed. I always knew the times I'd see her that she was completely sincere and concerned, when asking about my life and my children.
A better woman you'll never find. I'll miss her smiling face, her jokes and her love of life.
I'll never forget Imy, she was an angel on earth and now heaven has a new and special angel !!!

Miss Imy was our neighbor for the past 14 years and we loved her. When I came home from work she was often sitting on her patio and we chatted about the day's activities. She was such a kind and sweet lady! She loved watching the kids play in the yard and I loved that she didn't mind all the commotion of our comings and goings. We miss you, Miss Imy and hope that you're enjoying sunny days in heaven.

Miss Imy I miss you so much. Your smiling face and wonderful stories will stay with me forever. I already miss our book chats. And who will I talk to about this year's Ryder Cup? May you rest in beautiful peace.

Miss Imy,
It was a pleasure working with you in our shared real estate offices over the years. You were a legend in our business when I first met you 17 years ago, and you will continue to remain one for many years to come. We will always remember Realtor "Miss Imy". You're a true inspiration to us all!

Miss Imy was not only one of my friend's, she was like a mother to me. My mother died in 1967 so God put another person in my life that felt like a mom in so many respects. We had so many good times together that that is what I will keep close to my heart for many years to come. The years went by so quickly that it didn't seem like it was over 30 years that we were friends. I remember telling many people how old she was and they say "you've got to be kidding!" We will all miss her but happy for her because she left so many memories for all of us to enjoy.
All my love, "Frischie" (that's what she called me

Aunt Imy, you were a wonderful lady with so much grace and compassion for everyone you met, and what a pleasure it was to know you. You will be missed. Rest with the lord. I love you.

What an absolute doll -- imagine the things she's seen in 99 years!! How will we manage without her weekly observations? Carbondale Public Library will be a 'quieter' place without her proclamation of "HI GIRLS!" whenever she came in for her book club picks, and "trash novel" freebies! :-D One of life's unforgettable characters, that we hope we can be like when we grow up. It was a pleasure knowing her.

Aunt Imy - You have been part of my family since I can remember - a good friend to my Mom and to my sister Stacy and me. Our visits with each other were infrequent but very special. I'll miss you but I know you are in a beautiful place!

I literally came home from the hospital and into your arms. Thank you for helping my Mom and siblings take care of me the first few days when our heads of household were away sailing to win the Y Flyer class in the Fall 1962 Regatta. Thank you for your many gifts to me over the years, transitioning from small items in small sacks for small hands and simple knock- knock jokes to our most recent exchange of great books and serious advice and wily punch lines which sustained the changing needs of our near 52 years as relative relatives. You were MOST SPECIAL in my life. I know you are happy to rest from the mortality of a 99 year old shell and your new clothes look fabulous on you. And the mighty mansions you must be touring - a real estate agent's dream! You showed us all the stylish ways to balance being a single girl, having a successful career, maintaining a beautiful home, being great neighbor, enjoying far reaching travel adventures, supporting local fun, sustaining long friendships and prioritizing Christianity. Thank you for support and encouragement and caring participation throughout my entire life. Loving you made me better. Until we meet again, my dear Aunt Im - I remain yours always, Stacy
