Carole Swann Obituary

MARION - Carole E. Swann, 60, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion, with Pastor Ted Pavloff officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Carole was born April 7, 1949, in Temple, Texas, to T.W. and Shirley (Linton) Davis.

She married James L. Shew in 1965 in Houston; he preceded her in death in 1982.

Carole married James Michael Swann in 1985; together they have shared 24 years of marriage.

Carole attended several local churches over the years. She was a homemaker and found her calling working with the elderly and terminally ill patients. She loved flowers and plants and enjoyed singing, reading her Bible and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Swann; son, James K. Shew; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy E. and Steven Fuqua; stepdaughter, Tammy Wedding; stepson, Michael Lee Swann; grandchildren, Cassandra, Jocelyn and Audrey Fuqua; stepgrandchildren, Brianna, Elizabeth and Gavinn Swann; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Alene Davis; and sister and brother-in-law, Hope and M.J. Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband.
