Danny Pike Obituary
Danny was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Marion to William and Eva (Vincent) Pike.
He worked most recently as assistant grocery manager at Save-A-Lot. Before that, he worked several years at Excel Mines and Pepsi of Mid America in Marion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially liked to fish with his son on the family pond. He also liked listening to rock music from the 60s and 70s.
Survivors include daughter, Jessica Leigh Ann Pike of Marion; son, Ryan Mitchell Pike of Marion; grandchild, Caden Drake Osborn Pike; brothers, Michael Pike of Carbondale and Steven Pike of Marion; sisters, Debbie Buchanan and husband, Steve of Plainfield, Sherry Hunter and husband, Kent, of O'Fallon, Mo., and April Brown and husband, Mike, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per his wishes, his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 22, in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Steve Melroy officiating. A time of gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 N. Market St., Marion, IL 62959.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of danny. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by all who had the chance to meet him and call him friend. To the family of Danny,
There are no words to express the sorrow that you may be feeling at this time, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that he will no longer suffer the ails of the physical body. May He provide you with comfort during this difficult time. God bless you all. In knowing Danny for such a short time, he will truly be missed by myself and those who had the chance to meet him. I find personal peace in Psalm 23, The Psalm of David. May it provide you peace as well.
