Donna West Obituary

DONGOLA -- Donna Sichling West, 79, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Union County Hospital in Anna.

Mrs. West was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dongola. She was a homemaker most of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Langley West of Dongola; two daughters, LaDonna McDowell of Vienna, Sandra and Claudel Smith of Dongola; two sons, Michael Ray West and Sharon of Dwight, Langley and Yahtil West of Birch Bay, Wash.; two brothers, Loren Sichling of Granite City, Phillip Sichling of Florance, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Martha File Sichling; two sisters; and five brothers.

Services will be at noon Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dongola, with the Rev. Jack Richardson officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery in Dongola. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church.

Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak is in charge of arrangements.

Donna was a wonderful woman, not to mention one of the greatest cooks ever!! I always felt lucky to sit down to one of her dinners. She will be missed greatly by so many! My love and prayers are with all of you. Love you all Echo
