Fredrick Zielke Obituary
He was born May 5, 1953, in Northville, Mich., to Harold and Betty (Clapp) Zielke.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was self-employed for many years as a carpenter.
He was a loving father, son, brother and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include two daughters, Emily Zielke of Chicago and Sarah Zielke of Ashville, N.C.; grandchildren, Caleb Sharkey of Ashville, N.C., and Oliver Zielke of Chicago; three brothers, Ernest Zielke and wife, Frances, of Herrin, Walter Zielke and wife, Adrianna, of Costa Rica, and Richard Zielke and wife, Chi-Li Lin, of Weaverville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Debra Garro, Dane and Vera Coleman and Jerry "Bear" Teal of Bush; and close friend, Lyle and Caroline Barber of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be conducted. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements.
