Howard Crice Obituary

JONESBORO -- Howard Junior Crice, 83, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Jonesboro Health Care Center.

Mr. Crice was of Pentecostal faith.

He was a retired operating engineer from Anna Quarries Inc., where he operated a loader for many years. He was known by the truck drivers as "June Bug."

Mr. Crice was born April 14, 1928, in Belknap, the son of Howard and Christine Burns Crice.

He is survived by three daughters, Lavera and husband, Larry Carter, of Anna, Lois and husband, Allen Pollard, of Anna, Luci and hus-band, Bill Carter, of Jonesboro; one sister, Leila Canada of Belknap; six grandchildren, Shelly and husband, Randy Miller, Kelly and husband, Eric Glodizen, Jennifer Carter, Jerri and husband, Jose Tehandon, Becky Carter, Geremy Pollard and a special friend, Patricia Clark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Altenberger Crice; and also by parents, Howard and Christine Burns Crice and one sister, Lois Crice.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Anderson Cemetery in Boaz with the Rev. Billy Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
