Kathy Smith Obituary

GRAND TOWER -- Kathy A. Smith, 56, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Kathy is survived by two sons, Joshua Thomas Smith and fiancé, Angel Cripps, of Grand Tower and Jason N. Smith of Cobden; two brothers, Billy Roberson of Grand Tower and Robert Roberson of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one sister, Brenda Lowry of Camden, Tenn.; former husband, Tommy Smith of Cobden and best friend, Rita Roberson, of Grand Tower.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Philip and Ricky Roberson.

Kathy graduated from Trend Beauty College and worked at Great Clips until her health no longer allowed her to work.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, in Meredith Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower, with the Rev. Peggy Camp officiating. Internment will be in Walker Hill Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to sons, Joshua or Jason Smith, and will be accepted by the funeral home.
