Michele Tindall-Piccolo Obituary

AVA - Michele A. "Mickey" Tindall-Piccolo, 55, died at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, in Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro.

She was born Feb. 15, 1954, in Chicago, the daughter of Everett and Theresa (Davis) Tindall.

Michele was known locally for her tenure as a manager at Gas Mart and a loyal customer of Fleetwoods. Mickey, along with her spouse, Michael, was also a successful owner and operator of Piccolo's Pizza in Chicago.

She is survived by her mother, Theresa Gallagher of Ava; brother, Paul Blaney of Murphsyboro; sister, Nancy (Bruce) Webster of Alberta, Calgary, Canada; brother, Bobby (Tina) Tindall of Littleton, Colo.; sister, Chrissy Gallagher of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.

Michele was preceded in death by her father, Everett; spouse, Michael Piccolo; sister, Lynn Szeman; and her beloved dog, Snowball.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, in Ava Evergreen Cemetery, with Kenneth Roberts officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

To Mickey's Family,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Mickey put up a good battle. Ava will not be the same without her. No matter where you'd go there would be Mickey with a smile and a laugh. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
