MURPHYSBORO - Ora Lee Heininger, 90, died at 1:59 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Murphysboro, to Phillip and Mayme Baskin Rooney.
She married Fred Heininger on July 18, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2000.
Ora Lee was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.
She and Fred loved to camp. They wintered in Harlingen, Texas.
Survivors include three sons, Michael (Joyce) Heininger and James (Karen) Heininger, both of Murphysboro, and Bob (Judy) Heininger of Swansea; three granddaughters, Tammy (Terry) Huffman of Murphysboro, Michelle (Dennis) Hillebrenner of Vergennes, and Rene Moss of Jacksonville; three grandsons, Richard (Leslie) Heininger of San Diego, Calif., Randy Heininger of San Antonio, Texas, and Jay (Destiny) Heininger of Herrin; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Ora was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Jerrod Huffman and one great-granddaughter, Aislynn Heininger.
Services for Ora Lee Heininger will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, in Crain Pleasant Grove–Murdale Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Elm Street Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
