Stacey Fox Obituary

TAMAROA -- Stacey Lynn Fox, 43, passed away at 6:59 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Stacey had worked as an LPN at Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin and at SIU Student Health Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa. She had been president for the Tamaroa Little League for 10 years and was a softball coach. She had worked at bingo for many years at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was also a Sunday school teacher for many years. Stacey had been a member of Tamaroa Grade School PTO and Booster Club. Her goal in life was to help others in their time of need.

She was born March 14, 1968, in Du Quoin, the daughter of Vernon M. and Judith E. (Lynch) Heck.

She married Alan D. Fox Sr. on Feb. 26, 1998, in Las Vegas, and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa; five children, Kaliyn Lively, Bryant Lively, Kelton Lively, Alan Fox Jr., and Natasha Fox, all of Tamaroa; her father, Vernon M. Heck and Betty Ogilvie of Tamaroa; one granddaughter, Melody Bytner of Cambria; two brothers, Greg Heck and wife, Debbie, of Du Quoin and Charles Heck and wife, Kami, of Du Bois, two sisters, Mary Nippe and husband, Ricky, of Tamaroa, and Sabrina Bathon of Pinckneyville; maternal grandfather, Charles Lynch of Effingham; stepfather, Richard Bathon and wife, Trish, of Centralia; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Marsha Fox of Du Quoin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith E. Bathon; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Lynch; and paternal grandparents, William and Sophie Heck Sr.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Father Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Tamaroa. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., with rosary prayed at 8 p.m. Monday at the church, and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Friends may make memorials to the Special Olympics or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Dear Alan and Stacey's children,siblings
My deepest condonlences to you all at this time. I very sad-but to keep Stacey's beautiful soul alive will help me mourn. We had alot of special times and I have known her since grade school-even took 1st Holy communion together. I will cherish the memories I had with Stacey and may "God" get you through this and know she will always be remembered.
