DU QUOIN -- Lisa R. Meadows, 49, passed away at 6:26 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mount Vernon.
Lisa had been a beautician for 30 years and worked at Hair Brains in Carbondale.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin.
She was born April 21, 1964 at Mexico, MO, the daughter of Roger E. and Marge (Morris) Schenk.
She married Dan Meadows on March 15, 2003, in First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin, and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin; one son, William D. "Will" Meadows of Du Quoin; her parents, Roger E. and Marge Schenk of Du Quoin; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Lyle VanZandt of Du Quoin; one brother, Roger Schenk Jr., and wife, Sarah, of Austin, Texas; one niece, Emily Anne Schenk of Austin; one nephew, David Alan Schenk of Austin; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Schenk.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with the Rev. Scott Baird officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Per Lisa's request, cremation services will be after the funeral service.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
