MERIDEN - Arline M. Scofield, 87, wife of the late Frederick Scofield died on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Midstate Medical Center.

She was born in Meriden on Nov. 10, 1925, to the late George and Myra (Remington) Mack. Arline resided in Meriden all her life and graduated from Meriden High School. Mrs. Scofield was employed by Mueller Book Bindery and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.
Arline is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Jan Campbell and her husband, Jay, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Barbara Connors and her husband, Mark, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Meredith Brooks and her husband, Bill, of Denver, Colo., Kristen Clepper and her husband, Henry, Richard Connors and Patrice Kurnath, Peter Connors and Kimberly Cole; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Campos; one sister, Dorothy LeGendre, of Meriden; and a special sister-in-law, Mary Lou Mack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Arline was predeceased by two brothers, George Mack Jr., and James Mack; and two sisters, Evelyn Caplan and Shirley Gohr.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
