MERIDEN - Chesterine Kroeber, of Meriden, died peacefully on March 22, 2013, at Masonicare.
She is survived by her husband, George Kroeber, of 53 years. Born in Choromany, Poland, she came to the U.S. at the age of 11. Chesterine was the daughter of the late Stephen and Jennie Choromanski.
She is also survived by her loving children, Gary Kroeber and his late wife, Bonnie, Cheryl Kroeber, and Lynn Wojtkowski and husband, Rich; her sister Zenia Hogan and brother-in-law John; brother Walter Choromanski and sister-in-law Sheila; grandchildren Reneé Kuchorski and husband Robert, Jonathan Kroeber, Brett, Brandon, Bryan and Kali Wojtkowski; and several nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed going to tag sales and spending time with childhood friends and family. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26, from 5 to 8 p.m.
