MERIDEN - Colleen M. DeFrancisco, 82, wife of the late Anthony DeFrancisco, died peacefully on Thurs-day, March 21, 2013.

Born in Meriden on July 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Michael and May (Fielding) Moore. She had been a lifelong Meriden resident and had graduated from Meriden High School in 1948 and from St. Jo-seph College in 1952. Mrs. DeFrancisco taught at the John Barry School and then went on to St. Rose School from 1972 to 1992. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church and was a Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Meriden Council of Catholic Women and also was a volunteer at MidState Medical Center. Mrs. DeFrancisco was foremost a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Shannon Duffin and her husband, Michael, of Treasure Island, Fla., Lourde Golembeski and her husband, Gregg, of Killingworth, and Kim Rascati and her husband, Thomas, of Barkhamsted; two sons, Peter DeFrancisco and his wife, Barbara, of Wolcott, and Luke DeFrancisco and his wife, Jaime, of North Scituate, R.I.; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
