Lee Vern Hall
San Antonio, Texas
It is with great sadness and heaviness of heart that the children, grandchild and devoted friends of Lee Vern Hall announce his passing on December 9, 2012. Mr. Hall, 81, died in San Antonio, Texas after a protracted battle with Parkinson's Disease. Lee is survived by his daughter Stephanie Wilson, son-in-law Mark Wilson, daughter Hillori Hall Hager, son Aaron Hall, and granddaughter Reve Wilson. Lee was born March 18, 1931 in Ely, Nevada to Virgil Davis and Edna Hall. He grew up in Kimberly and Ely, Nevada enjoying his love of the outdoors through his active involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. At the age of 12, Lee entered and won a national essay competition, sponsored and funded by the Boy Scouts, earning him a time-honored 9-week expedition into Colorado's Mesa Verde National Park. Later, and after playing high school football and basketball, Lee began college at UNLV and completed his undergraduate schooling by graduating as a Petroleum Engineer from Tulsa University. Then, after serving in the United States Air Force (graduating first in his class as a Refueling Pilot), Lee began his career as Petroleum Engineer in Midland Texas eventually moving his work and business to Dallas, Texas where he remained until retiring to St. George, Utah in 1997. After the birth of his granddaughter, Reve, Lee made his way back to Texas to join his family in San Antonio. Lee Vern Hall was a devoted and cherished father to his children and grandchildren, as well as a loyal and fun loving friend to all of his loved ones. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of our dear friend Lee! I just sent our Christmas card to him- hoping I had the correct address! We loved Lee and was always impressed with how much he loved his mother Edna! We cared for Edna for several years and loved them both! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this sad time! Please know how highly we thought of him and how we considered him a life long friend! I know he is having a sweet reunion with his mother and father! Love to all, Von and Patty Hansen
