I'amua Ailama Salatielu Tiatia
I'amua Ailama Salatielu Tiatia was called home by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at age 46 in St George Utah. A loving husband to Joann Laumua Tiatia and father of Elder Ailama Shaquille Tiatia, Fa'asalalaulealofa-Soimavi Alexus Tiatia, Arteysha Sinavaiana Tiatia, and Faipule Andreyah Tiatia.
He was born in Avao Savaii Samoa to Soonafaifualouola Tiatia and the late Vaioga Salatielu Tiatia. He is survived by Mother Soonafaifualouola Tiatia, Sisters Gautusa Emma Maez (SLC), Gautusa-Sua Lie Brown (Samoa), Punasautoa Lesa Pierce (Samoa) Tofuola Alofipo (ST.G), Brothers: Tiatia Filemoni Tiatia (SLC) Gautusa Liahona Tiatia (STG) Seutoa Ropati Tiatia (STG). He is preceded in Death by Father Vaiaoga Salatielu Tiatia, Brothers: Sauaga, Tasele I, Tasele II, Filemoni I, Sister Fa'asalalau Tiatia Reid, Nieces Salafai Tiatia and Martha Kaufusi, Nephews Tasele Jr, Vaaelua Tiatia.
Ailama enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many who he came in contact with. He is a beloved father, husband, brother, son, and an active member of the community with frequent callings in the church and the go to guy for comfort food and good cheer. He is an exemplary son of our Heavenly Father whose strength, spirit, faith and love has proven to guide his family through these hard times.
He served a LDS Mission in San Antonio Texas. He loved playing basketball, rugby and football. He graduated from Kahuku High School in Laie Hawaii 1987. He also attended Ricks Jr. College in Rexburg Idaho. He later furthered his studies and career to join the Local 433 Ironworkers Union where he completed the Apprenticeship School of Bridges, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron as a Journeyman Welder.
On Tuesday, March 25, 2014 we will be celebrating his life, love, and legacy at 3381 Mulberry Drive St George, Utah 84790. Family Services are from 9:00-12:00 and funeral Services are from 12:00-1:00.
