Charles Neill Peterson passed away early in the morning of April 11, 2014. "Charlie" was born February 24, 1933 to Harry Neill and Theresa Peterson in Richfield, Utah. Charlie was first married to Erma Lou Naegle which resulted in the births of three children. After a subsequent divorce he married his current wife Darlos Hamblin in 1972.

Charlie relocated with his family at an early age to Cedar City, Utah. In 1953 he entered the U.S. Army and served his country in Korea. After some exploration, Charlie discovered he enjoyed driving semi trucks and made his living doing so resulting in many interesting experiences and stories to tell.

Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a sensitive and gentle man and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved the out doors, fast cars, horses and four wheeling on one of his favorite toys. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Darlos Peterson of Kanab, UT, three children, Wendy McMillan of Henderson, NV, Neill Peterson (Celia) of Maud, TX and Linda Alvey (Brent) of Kanab, Utah as well as three step children, JoLynn Hoyt (Gaylan), Robin Hamblin (Carolyn) and Carol Lee Hunt (Eldon) all residing in Kanab, Utah. He is also survived by sisters Beverly Neilson, Diane Wilkey (Melvin) and Sherrie Smith as well as numerous grand children, great -grand children, nieces, nephews and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elda Randall, stepson Douglas Hamblin, and granddaughter Misha Lee Hoyt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 15th at 11:00 am at the Kanab North Stake Center. Veiwings will be held Monday, April 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m, both at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
