Frank Bud Allan
Frank Bud Allan passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013, in St. George, Utah. He was born March 17, 1929, to Kenneth Wignell and Grace Llewellyn Allan. They told the story that they were so broke when Bud was born he came into the world naked.
Bud attended schools in Springville, UT and later Weber College, in Ogden, UT. He served in the U.S. Navy
Medical Corps on two different occasions during the Korean Conflict
He spent his working life in sales and retail with Kraft Foods in Florida.
Bud moved to St. George in 1982 to help care for his ailing mother. Here he met and married his loving wife, Marjorie Howell. Together they were active in rehab programs which brought them both great joy. His theme for life was "to live in a house, by the side of the road and be a friend to man." His philosophy was "treat your wife and family as the most important people in this world."
He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; adored daughter, Teressa (Robert) Brooks; sons, Kenneth and Frank Allan of Florida; Marjorie's children, Haven (Louis) Krupinic, Annelaurie Howell, Erin Howell and Ken (Celia) Howell; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Reese (Phyllis) Allan and Winford Allan. He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Grace Allan; Marjorie's son, Breck Howell; and a grandson, Mark Williams.
Across the years I will walk with you in deep green forests, on shores of sand and when our time on earth is through, in heaven too, you will have my hand. He was friend of Bill W.
Family will celebrate Bud's life in the early Spring through a private memorial.
