Gertrude "Marguerite" LeMond

Gertrude "Marguerite" LeMond, 94, passed away February 16th, 2013 in St. George, Utah.  She was born to Lottie and Bert Hall in Long Creek, Oregon on December 25, 1918.  Marguerite, as she preferred to be called, graduated from Long Creek High School, attended Normal School in Monmouth, Oregon, graduated, and taught school in Oregon and Alaska. Her first job was teaching all eight grades in the one-room Walluski School outside Astoria, Oregon. She married Robert LeMond in 1940.  After retiring in Astoria they spent their last 20 years together in Gunlock, Utah.  Following Robert's death in 2006, she moved to Dammeron Valley, Utah to live with her daughter Sally, and son-in-law Bill.  She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lee Alderman of Astoria, Oregon, and Sally Musemeche of Dammeron Valley, Utah, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  There will be no local funeral service; interment will take place in Astoria, Oregon.
