Horace Wicker Duffin
St. George, Utah
Horace "Duff" Duffin was born on May 31, 1932, in Bountiful, Utah. After marrying and graduating from Utah State University, Duff served in Germany doing intelligence work for the U.S. Army, then worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle as an engineer.
In 1975, Duff married Neoma Stoefen. After retiring from Boeing, they began a new career designing and building homes together in Sacramento, California, running a successful business for many years. He moved to St. George in 2006 to be closer to family after the loss of his beloved Neoma.
Whether acting as Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge
or counseling a grandchild, Duff was always caring and sensitive to others' needs, and his sense of humor brightened everyone's life. He was also a deeply kind person, and his support and wisdom helped his family and friends through the hard times that life inevitably brings.
He is survived by his sisters Helen Olson and Deanna Avis, cousin Fawn (Wicker) Felt and her husband Pete, two loving daughters, three loving sons, and ten grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
