Kenneth Byron Duerksen

Our beloved father, brother, uncle and grandfather, Kenneth Byron Duerksen, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah August 20th, 2013. Ken was born in Cedar City, Utah, December 3rd, 1948, the son of Ray and Zola Duerksen.

Ken served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived for many years, with his family, in the Denver area, the later in Elko, Nevada. He recently retired in Lander, Wyoming.

Ken was known for his great athleticism and had a tremendous gift for art, graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art in 1974.

His family and friends will miss his gracious nature, loving, gentle heart and great sense of humor, not to mention his beautiful baby blue eyes.

Ken is survived by his loving children, Shane Duerkesen and Jaime Levy, with grandson, Nathan (Denver, CO). He also leaves his sisters and their families, Michelle Kail (Lander, WY), Coy Cummings (Elko, NV).

We will cherish the memories you gave to us and carry your love with us forever. We love you!
