Nikki Millett


Nikki Ann Millett- Was born September 26, 1942 in Dallas, Texas the only child of George Dewey and Naomi J. Russell. She passed away quickly and unexpectedly on May 5, 2014 in Cedar City.

She lived her early years In Dallas before moving with her family to Huntington Beach, CA. She married Craig Woods April 6, 1962. Together they had three children, Jeff, Steven and Amy. They later divorced

She then moved with her children to Enoch, UT to follow her faith and gain a better life for her family. Her parents soon followed.

She married Evan Millett May 19, 1979 in the ST. George LDS Temple. He brought Mark, Laura, Steve and Michael to the family. They had 34 years together until his passing in October 2013.

Nikki was employed for several years at Cedar City Products Corp. and Jackson Plumbing before finding her home as the Trade Book Buyer for the SUU Bookstore. There she made several friends and acquaintances, many whom became her second family.

She loved the sunny beaches of California, but found the peace she longed for in the mountains of Southern Utah. This became her home and she never wanted to leave it. She was surrounded by countless ward members and neighbors who welcomed her in and gave her the support that was so important to her.

She enjoyed quilting; crocheting in the earlier years, but found her passion in her books that she loved so dearly. She enjoyed doing genealogy and learning of different and new family members. Family was her number one priority.

Throughout her life's trials she always maintained things would get better. She never gave up on her Lord and he never gave up on her.

Nikki was an intelligent, witty and strong woman. She had undying faith in our

Savior that she passed on to her children. She was kind, loving and generous, sometimes to fault, but she is deeply loved by all that knew her. Her passing will not go unnoticed.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and her loving husband Evan. She is survived by her children, Steve, Amy (Dave), former son-in-law Luis (Hilda) Cuenca, who loved her as his own Mother, Mark (Rozanne), Laura (Gary), Steve and Michael (Jen). Grandchildren, Jessica and Kaitlyn Woods; Madison, Maci and Mark Woods; Alyssa (Scott) Gelter; Zac and Riley McDonald. All the numerous Millett/Mills grandchildren whose visits brought her and papa immense joy and pride. And most importantly, soon to be great-grandson Wesley and great-granddaughter, Ophelia whose light heart, awesome jokes and endless singing filler her heart with happiness.

Grandma, we all love you so much and will miss you, but are comforted in the knowledge that you are at peace and great is the joy in your reunion with Granny, Papa and Evan. Thank you for your hard work in this life, never giving up on us and your legacy of faith in our Lord. You will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held Sunday evening, May 11, 2014 from 6-8 pm in the Enoch West Stake Center (3575 N Minersville Hwy).

Graveside services will be held Monday, May12th at 11:00 am in the Enoch City Cemetery.
