Orvis Bowers passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Beaver Valley Hospital.

Orvis was born on May 7, 1925 in Delta, Colorado. He graduated from Delta High School and enlisted in the US Coast Guard on March 16, 1943. He was honorably discharged on April 2, 1946. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and graduated in June 1951.

Orvis married Ruby Crum in Denver Colorado. They lived in Denver, CO; Sandy, UT; Colorado Springs, CO and Tucson AZ prior to settling in Beaver in 1983. They purchased and restored the Edward Bird House and had it posted in the Utah Historical registry in 1984.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Bowers; two daughters, Rhonda Cowley (husband Gary) and Cheryl Green (husband Marlin)a son Kevin Bowers (wife Lyn); a sister, Shirley Myers; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Orvis was preceded in death by his brothers Harvey and Wayne and his sisters Bea Lofink and Louise Harris.

In lieu flowers, donations can be sent to the .Celebration of life for Orvis will be held April 2, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Beaver Senior Center in Beaver, Utah.
