Shauri Dee Quintana

Shauri Dee Erickson Quintana

A beautiful little girl was born November 5, 1975 in Beaver, Utah to Douglas Ray and Judith Fails Erickson. Shauri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Shauri had a wonderful childhood growing up in Frog Holler where the original Frog Holler band was formed. She enjoyed acting and participating in skits with all the kids in Frog Holler. This led her to performing all throughout her school years. She always secured a main part and was the center of attention when she walked in a room. She loved to dance and was a member of the "B steps". She also played soccer, softball and basketball. She graduated from Beaver High School in 1995.

While skiing at Elk Meadows she met the love of her life Jason Quintana. They married on June 4, 1994. They have three children, Devin J. Quintana (17 yrs old) Damon Joseph Quintana, (15 yrs old) and Dylann Jean Quintana (9 yrs old). Her children were her whole world. She coached many different sports and participated in everything she could in order to spend time with her children.

Determination and independence were traits she carried with her since she was a small child and she was never afraid to stand up for herself and what she thought was right. Shauri was always a hard worker and eventually found herself with a perfect career in the Recreation industry working for Beaver City as the swimming pool manager. It was fitting since she was able to swim the length of the pool at three years old and has always had a love for the water, especially the ocean. She loved just walking barefoot along the beach or catching sea creatures in the tied pools. Being fearless, she enjoyed swimming in the ocean. Some of the other things she really enjoyed were hiking, watching movies and animals. She really admired dolphins and always had a dog. Her very favorite thing was watching her children smile. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her parents Doug and Judith Erickson, her husband Jason Quintana and three beautiful children, Devin, Damon, and Dylann. Her siblings, Christy and Derk Iverson, Shane and Dana Erickson, Darla and Pete Wilstead, Cody and Mindy Erickson, Jodi and Lance Nicholes, Derrick and Abby Erickson and 11 nephews and 10 nieces.
