Michael Stephen Gale

Hurricane

Michael Stephen Gale was born in Ogden Utah, on December 14, 1945 to Myron C Gale and Lavern Sloan. He passed from this life to the next on December 8, 2013. Michael was raised and attended school in Midway, Utah.

His service to his country and his community took him from the Army front lines to the highways of Arizona. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army, and proudly served in the 459th Signal Battalion, 111st Signal Brigade. His army postings began in Korea from 1964 to 65, and his first tour in Vietnam was from 1966 to 67. Michael spent his next year in Germany, returned to Vietnam in 1970, and he finally came home in 1971. He was honorably discharged on the 22nd day of April, 1971. After his military time, Michael joined the State of Arizona, working in the Vehicle Division from 1977 to 1987. He then transferred to the Department of Public Safety (Highway Patrol) till his retirement in 2003.

His personal life was filled with family and friends. Michael married his best friend, and love of his life, Cheryl K. DeMille. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and his children. His sons, Michael (Mischelle) Webb, Michael Bruce (Rechelle) Gale, and Steven Webb; and his daughters, Linda (Eric) Stidham, Rebecca Ann (Scott) Johnson, Laini (Howard) Devore, and Libbi (Lynn) Richardson. Michael also leaves behind twenty grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren, and his sisters Jane Churchfield, Tammy Allman, and Peggy Giles.

Michael was a very loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Kenneth D. Webb.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurricane LDS church, 274 South 100 West, on his birthday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings with the family will be held at Spilsbury Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 25 North 2000 West, Hurricane, UT, on December 13, 2013 from 6-8 pm and on Saturday, December 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church. Interment and Military Honors at the Hurricane City Cemetery following the service.

Butch, and family, please except our deepest sympathy. we never knew of Michael's passing we are in shock.we all knew him well,we lived by the gales and as kids we all played togather.
