Kent Davis Obituary
Kent Ford Davis, a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, passed away at his daughter's home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 6th, 1927 in Kanarraville, Utah to Leon Davis and Irene Ford Davis. He was the second of four children, raised in Kanarraville. At the age of 18 he served in the army air corp where he served honorably for his country. Kent was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held many callings. In the early spring of 1952, Kent married Karla Jean Berry. Together they had two children: a daughter Belinda Kaye (Reed) Rowley and a son Berry (infant-deceased). They later divorced. In the fall of 1972 he married Marie Elena (Tina) Wright, whose children were Fawn (Roger) Hicks (Cedar City, UT), Dawn Templer (Mesa, AZ), Daren (Pam) Condie (Springville, UT), Shawn (Gina) Wright (St. George, UT) and Rick (Sharadee) Wright (Thornton, CO). Together they had a daughter Kena Marie (Todd) Lloyd (Cedar City, UT).

Kent loved spending time on Kanarra Mountain. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoors man. Kent was a very hard worker, but always made time to have fun with his family. He worked at the Cedar City Iron Mines as a heavy duty tire man before traveling the western states working road construction. Many people knew Kent for shearing sheep, working for Haken Anderson and George Halterman. While working in the western states Kent longed to be home in Kanarraville, taking every chance he could to visit family and help his parents. He loved dancing at the cobble crest and anywhere he could. Kent loved raising, training, and breeding race horses. He also enjoyed raising a large garden. He was most well known for his loving, gentle and kind qualities. He loved anyone who was around him. In his older years he loved spending time on his little farm and having his children and grandchildren surround him.

Kent is survived by his wife, 7 children, 26 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his infant son, his parents and his siblings: Donna (George) Munford, Raymond (Lois) Davis and Vergene (Bernice) Davis.

Dad we know you are with our loving Heavenly Father. We will miss you, we love you, till we meet again. Kent's family would like to thank all of his family and friends who stopped by to visit and comfort him during these past few years.
