Roy Richard Reidhead, 88, returned to his Heavenly home on December 9, 2012. He was born February 12, 1924 in Overton, Nevada to Alanson and Lucinda Estella Reidhead.

Roy spent his childhood in Washington, Utah. He served in the army in WWII. After an honorable discharge from the military, he met and married Norma Hansen. They were blessed with a son, Richard, and 2 daughters, Vanita and Marylynn. They were later divorced. While working at Kellwood Company he met Ila Jean Earl and on February 10, 1967, they were married and Roy became a father to Ila's 2 sons Dennis and Darrell Calico. On February 14, 1970, Ila and Roy were sealed together for all eternity in the St. George Temple. In 1979 they were blessed with a son, Ryan. Roy worked for many years for the city of Washington. At the time of his retirement he was the water superintendent. He was a faithful home teacher and attended the Temple weekly as long as his health permitted.

Roy is survived by his children: Richard (Terri) Reidhead, Vanita (Ernie) Pack, Marylynn (Dennis) Thompson, Ryan (Nicki) Reidhead and daughter-in-law Julie Calico (Blair) Hiatt; sisters, Ada Miller and Zona Jackson; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ila; brother, Boyd; sons, Dennis and Darrell; and grandson, Trent Calico.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 446 Mangum Road, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at the Washington City Cemetery.
