Eldon Leon Mayoh

St. George, UT

Leon passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at his home after a valiant 7 year battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 24, 1944, to Elden Joseph & Fern Elnor in Lehi, UT. He married Susan Mienike, and from that union Robert Joseph and David Paul were born. They later divorced.

Leon met and then married the love of his life, Audrey R. Brunner, on Oct. 4, 1974. They were sealed at the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 8, 1978. Leon was active in the LDS Church and served a mission with his wife in Murray, UT Dec. 2009 to Dec. 2010. They moved to St. George and taught Primary until the time of his death. Leon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones.

Leon is survived by his wife Audrey, children: Robert (Cinnamon) Mayoh, David (Dani) Mayoh, Gerald (Becky) Brunner, Margie (Dave) Hymas, Lisa (Rick) Sipe; 17 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Elda (Jack) Brand, Russell (Geri) Mayoh, June Rubio. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Douglas.

We thank Leon's doctors, Dr. Samuelson and Dr. Haslem, and their staff, Dixie Hospice (especially Melanie) for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Middleton LDS Church, on 807 W. Capilla Dr. Washington, UT. A visitation will take place Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 6:00 to 7:00p.m. and again prior to the service from 9:00 to 9:45, both at the chapel. Burial will follow the service at the Paragonah Cemetery at approx. 1:15pm.
