Our wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Earl Dixon Jr. age 70, passed on March 21, 2014 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on July 20, 1943 in Shiprock, New Mexico to Earl Dixon Sr. and Dorothy Polocca. Earl graduated from Spanish Fork High School and went onto Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado where he received his Masters in Engineering. He was a member of the LDS Church and married Clarice Kanosh November 25, 1970 in Richfield, Utah.
Our dad was our role model, he was hardworking, determined, dedicated, respected and most of all strong willed. He was loving, compassionate and giving. He supported his kid's decisions; he was his kid's go-to, our advisor, our counselor, our problem solver and his grandkids biggest cheerleader.
He is survived by his children; Wileen Bow, DeeAnn (Shawn) Multine, Kennard Dixon, Crystal Dixon and Olajuwon (Jennifer) Dixon all of Cedar City, Utah. His sisters; Rosemarie Steele, Delphine Pete, Cynthia Dixon, Audrey Dixon, Virginia Dixon and Alberta Begay all of New Mexico. Along with 13 wonderful grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Clarice; his parents; two grandchildren Alexandria Bow and Baby Boy Bulletts; and sisters; Corrine and Juliet Dixon.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Richfield City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah. Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
