Paul Randolph Grimshaw passed away June 8, 2014 in Lehi, surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 17, 1922, in Enoch, Iron, Utah, the oldest son of Randolph and Estella Jones Grimshaw.
Paul served in the Army, the Army Reserves, and National Guard for many years, retiring in 1982. He participated in WWII and Korea. He graduated from Utah State University with a master's degree in 1949. He received his doctorate from Oregon State University in 1971.
Paul married Velma in the Salt Lake temple on December 20, 1946. They became the parents of four daughters. He and his wife were well-traveled, they came to love people all over the world.
He was a County Agricultural Agent in Grand, Sanpete, and Sevier counties. He was a marketing specialist, associate professor (agricultural economics), and associate dean at Utah State University. After retirement he served on the Santa Clara, Utah City Council and later the Nauvoo, Illinois City Council. He & his wife served missions in Paraguay, and at the temple in Atlanta, Georgia. His favorite calling was that of temple sealer. He performed the marriages for thirteen of his grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Velma, and his brother Douglas (JoAnn). He is survived by his brother, Norman (Loleen, deceased) of Cedar City; his four daughters: Diane (Lynn) Dahle of Salmon, Idaho; Gwen (Jeff) Krumperman of Nauvoo, Illinois; Wendy (Jeff) Sessions of Lehi; and Kathy (Randy) Douglas of Nauvoo, Illinois; 28 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Services will be held Saturday, June 14 in the Pheasant Point Utah Stake center, 890 West 3200 North, Lehi, at 10:00 am. A viewing will held from 9-9:45 prior to the funeral. Burial will take place at the Cedar City Utah Cemetery, 685 North Main Street at 2:45 pm the same day.
