Alan William de Bracy

St. George

Alan William de Bracy passed away December 24, 2012. He was born February 24, 1943.

He graduated from Westminister High School in Colorado in 1960. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy. He was an Air Traffic Controller in Japan (1961-1963), on Whidbey Island (1963-1965), on the USS Enterprise (1965-1968), Moffett Air Station (1968-1969). After being honorably discharged in 1970, he went to work for the FAA. He worked at Bay TraCon until 1979. From 1979 to 1989, he worked at the Portland Airport as Air Traffic Controller Assistant Manager. From 1989 to 1998, he was the Air Traffic Controller Manager at Seattle Center, Auburn. He retired as Traffic Officer and Operations Manager.

Alan is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Christopher Carpenter; brother: Tim; and sister, Pam. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike.
