St. George, Utah -Faasalalau Tiatia-Reid, 47 lost her battle with cancer Thursday January 17th 2013. She was born October 1, 1965 in Avao Savaii, Samoa to Soonafaifualouola Gautusa Tiatia and Vaiaoga Salatielu Tiatia.

She was raised in Avao Savaii. She graduated from Kahuku High School in Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii where she continued her education at Hawaii Pacific University and received her Associates degree. She then came to Utah and started her career of 20+ years in Human Resources where she enjoyed helping countless find and secure employment and helped many organizations, communities and companies implementcontinuous improvement HR processes and policies. She was a very strong, courageous, selfless daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She liked to stay active by playing volleyball, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed serving the lord in many capacities in the Stake and Ward and was very grateful for the precious experience working with the Youth, Young Women, Relief Society and Sunday School auxilliaries.

She is survived by her children Krystlelie Dean (Derek Dean), Lautiare Reid (Jordan Bridges), Winston Reid, Pearlladys Reid and her grandchildren Trenice Dean and Jaedon Dean whom all reside in St. George, Utah; Mother Soonafafaifualouola Tiatia; Sisters Emma Maez, Lie Brown, Lesa Pierce, Tofuola Alofipo; Brothers, Filemoni Tiatia, Ailama Tiatia, Liahona Tiatia, and Ropati Tiatia. She is reunited with her father Vaiaoga Salatielu Tiatia ; Brothers, Tasele I, Filemoni I, Sauaga, Tasele II; nephews Tasele Jr, Va'aelua and nieces Martha and Salafai.

Funeral services will be Tuesday January 22, 2013 at 11:00 am immediately after Family services at 9:00am at the Mulberry LDS Chapel located on 3381 Mulberry Drive, Saint George, Utah 84790. Interment will take place at the Tonaquint Cemetery. Interment will take place at the Tonaquint Cemetery.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Heideman Mortuary, 1037 East 700 S. St. George, Utah, (435) 674-5000. An account in her name has been set up at America First Credit Union.
