Iva Dalley Bringhurst

Iva Dalley Bringhurst died Sunday, February 10, 2013, peaceably in her home in Cedar City, Utah.

Iva was born on January 3, 1922 in Teasdale, Utah to Ronald J. and Margery Hiskey, Dalley. Iva was married on April 24, 1943 to Gordon H. Bringhurst in Las Vegas, Nevada and later solemnized in the St. George Utah Temple.

Iva is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon H. Bringhurst, her parents, 6 brothers, 1 grandson and sisters. Surviving Iva are her children Kathryn (Ken) Sperry of Cedar City, Roger (Kerri) of New Harmony, Joyce (Jim) Case of St. George, Kent Bringhurst of Ogden and Elaine (Ken) Barney of Clearfield. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Iva served many years in Relief Society and Young Women activities. She volunteered at Valley View Medical Center as a pink lady, was active in BPW (Business and Professional Woman's Club) at the Heritage House and Shakespearean Festival activities. She was a loving, hard working mother, grandmother, and friend. We will all dearly miss her.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar LDS 5th Ward (or Stake Center) Chapel located at 155 East 400 South, Cedar City, Utah A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 prior to the services at the Church.
