John A. Meisner

John Meisner, husband, father, grandfather and businessman passed on to eternal glory to be with his savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday, May 7, 2013. His faith has caused his family to be at peace celebrating his life knowing he is no longer in pain but with the Lord.
He is remembered as a tough task master building commercial and residential homes in Nevada [Comfort Home Builders] and Utah [Shiloh Farms]. Kansas born and raised on a ranch in Colorado gave him the basic old fashioned no nonsense get it done, get it done right and in a hurry attitude. Proudly he wasn't shy to announce his successes and accomplishments were without much formal education. He completed the 8th grade in Colorado; leaving home as a youth, he went on to support himself doing a variety of jobs. Early on, John knew his goal was to be a builder and had some community college classes studying blueprint writing and construction which was the nucleus of his quest to succeed in business.
As teens in California, John and Annette Greco-Meisner married in 1960; they would be celebrating their 53rd anniversary this June. They were blessed with their first son John A. Meisner II in 1969 and second son, Mark Steven Meisner in 1971. He was proud of his sons' accomplishments and seven grand-children, Sterling L. Meisner, John [Jake] Meisner III, Ashton Meisner, Zoe Meisner, Kendall Meisner, Lauren Meisner & Trevor J. Meisner all who reside in Cedar City Utah.
Grave site service will be held at the Parowan Utah Cemetery, Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11:00 am.
