Reid Howard Olmstead

St. George, Utah

Reid Howard Olmstead of St. George, Utah passed away on June 11, 2016. He was born in Ogden, Utah on October 11, 1935 to Ruby Thurgood and Howard Olmstead. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Corbridge in April 1979, and married Loa Rose Hanson in February 1982 in the Ogden temple. Reid is survived by his wife Loa Rose Hanson of St. George, daughter Melanie Olmstead of Salt Lake City, brothers Alan Olmstead and Philip Olmstead of St. George, and a host of loving relatives, friends, and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00am at 415 N. Westridge Dr, St George, UT 84770. Friends may visit the family at that location from 9:30-10:30. Interment will take place in the Syracuse cemetery Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:00pm. The family wishes to thank Sun Tree Hospice and Bella Terra of St. George (Kolob Care Center) for the wonderful care they showed Reid in his last year. Care has been entrusted to Hughes Mortuary.
