Donald Collins 'Donnie' Coulter, age 56, of Den Bo Lane, Willisburg, passed away at 9:20 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington surrounded by his family and a special friend, Paula Shryock Leineke.
Born on Jan. 27, 1956 in Mercer County, he was God's gift to Joe and Margie Coulter at three days of age.
Donnie never met a stranger and had friends far and wide. He was a farmer, loved horses, cattle, his bib overalls and was a superb cook. His door was open to all and his generous heart will be remembered.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Jonelle Coulter on Aug. 1, 1950.
Survivors include his parents, Joe and Margie Stine Coulter of Springfield; two sons, Dain Coulter and his wife, Kelli of Lexington and Josh Coulter of Danville; and five grandchildren, Dillion, Cameron, Lexie, Bella and Bailey Coulter of Lexington.
Donnie was also blessed when he found his three half-sisters, Cleva, Irene and Eva and three half-brothers, Tony, Sam and Mitch Simpson.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Blevins, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Burnice Richardson, minister of the Willisburg Church of Christ.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
