Albert Lewis, 85, of Taylorsville Kentucky, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky.
He was born in Washington County. He retired from General Electric Appliance Park, was a member of the Plum Creek Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Adkins Lewis of Taylorsville; son, Steve Lewis of Chaplin, Ky; sisters, Nellie Boblett of Willisburg, Lucille Harold of Dekalb, Ill., Anna Ruth (Albert) Chesser, Pauline (Leo) Boblett, Dorothy (Wendell) Hood, and Beulah Hood of Willisburg; brothers, W.T. (Linda) Lewis of Willisburg, Burtis (Virginia Rose) Lewis of Mackville, and Ralph (Edith Rose) Lewis of Springfield; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lewis and a grand-daughter, Dewayna Kay Surgercey.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Greenwell-Houghlin Chapel with Brother Jon Rohr officiating. Burial followed at Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, Ky.
