Angela Mudd Peterson, 87, Lebanon, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Richmond Place in Lexington.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1925 in Fredericktown. Peterson worked at the Lebanon Stockyards, New Farmer's Tobacco Warehouse, and the Marion County Water District. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cary Peterson Jr.; her parents, Xavier Eugene 'Doc' and Pearl Gootee Mudd; a sister, Roberta McIntyre; two brothers, H.P. and Gonza Mudd; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Kate Burress.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Ann (Mike) Bengert of Nicholasville; five sons, John (Pam) Peterson of Bardtown, Greg (Marilyn) Peterson of Versailles, Charles (Sally) Peterson of Memphis, Tenn., Doug (Julie) Peterson of Richmond, and Stephen (Chris Bolling) Peterson of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Sister Jean Gertrude Mudd of Maple Mount, and Geneva Mudd and Gertrude Nally, both of Washington County; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to St. Augustine Scholarship Fund.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Phillip, and Kristen Peterson.
Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
