Betty Rowland Baker, age 85, of Terrell Ridge Road, Willisburg passed away at 2:50 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
A native of Owsley County, she was born on Oct. 11, 1927 to the late Grant and Lona Moore Rowland.
She was a member of the Pillar of Faith Church in Willisburg and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Rev. Delbert Baker on July 31, 2007 and a great-grandson, Brady Hagan.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Lee Baker of Orlando, Fla., Rev. Larry Baker and his wife, Geraldine of Loretto, Tony Baker and his wife, Gena of Springfield, Mo. and Walter Louis Baker of Danville; four daughters, Donna Jean Watson and her husband, Kenneth of Mackville, Kathy Purvis of Springfield, Linda Baker of Willisburg and Stephanie Speer and her husband, Coy of Willisburg; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Parker of Dry Ridge; and two brothers, Ralph Rowland and his wife, Claudette of Corbin and Oscar Rowland and his wife, Maxine of Guntersville, Ala.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon, Monday, May 13 at the Anchor Of Hope Church with Rev. Ricky Cheatham, the church pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the Baker Family Cemetery at Willisburg.
