Charles Garnett Isham

Charles Garnett Isham, age 72, of Isham Lane, Mackville, passed away at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at his home.
A native of Washington County, he was born on April 7, 1940 to the late James Seibert and Sally Voorhies Isham.
He was a member of the Junction City Church of Christ, a retired employee of the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company and attended Mackville School.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Charles Seibert Isham and Charles Isham Jr.; a brother, Carl Wallace Isham; and a sister, Barbara Ann Votaw.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Peavler Isham; two sons, Kevin Isham of Willisburg and Todd Isham of Mackville; five grandchildren, Chasity Ballin, Katrina Isham, Brittany Isham, Garrett Isham and Gracie Isham; three great-grandchildren, Brenden Ballin, Tyler Ballin and Lane Ingram; a brother, Jeffrey Isham of Mackville; and two nephews, Troy Isham and Greg Isham.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Thad Eubank and Bro. Rodney Sneed officiating.
Burial was in the Battle Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Darrell Baker, Benny Benge, Brent Steele, David Peavler, David Coulter, Mike Montgomery, Gene Votaw and Jimmy Cooksey.
Casket bearers were Harold Caldwell, George Douglas, Greg Isham, Theo Cotton, Brian Caudill and Robert Baker.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
