Jackie Lee Arnold, age 59, of Arnold Road, Springfield, passed away at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born in Lebanon, Ky., on Aug. 27, 1954. He was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a 1973 graduate of Washington County High School, a state representative for Miken Sports and an avid baseball and softball fan, having been associated with the Washington County Merchants softball team for 40 years.
Survivors include, his wife, Crystal Diane Teater Arnold; a daughter, Rachel Nally (Channing); a son, Jared Lee Arnold (Lataina); a step-son, Jared Michael Boblett (Shana) all of Springfield; two step-daughters, Shawna Bodine (David) of Willisburg and Cora Diane Boblett of Springfield; nine grandchildren; his father, Jackie Arnold of Springfield; his mother, Gayle Whitehouse Hundley of Perryville; two sisters, Cathy Cocanougher of Mitchellsburg and Victoria Arnold of Springfield, and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Semonis of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 9 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Compton, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Patrick Arnold and Levi Arnold.
Serving as casket bearers were Bernard Smalley, Jude Spalding, Channing Nally, Joe David Mattingly, Jared Michael Boblett, Donnie Mattingly, Steve Thompson and Denny Bland.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
