James Edwin "Jimmy" Thompson Jr. age 42, of Louisville formerly of Springfield, died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Hurstbourne Care Center in Louisville following a short illness.
Born Jan.31, 1970 in Lebanon, he was a graduate of Washington Couny High School, attended St. Catharine College and Hales Corner Seminary in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 5 years and had been a property manager for New Direction Corp. in Louisville.
He is survived by his parents, Edwin and Margaret Mary Spalding Thompson of Springfield, a brother, Shawn Michael Thompson of Lexington, two sisters, Rhonda (David) Riney of Springfield and Shannon (Mike) Tackett of Lexington, a neice, Nicole Riney and three nephews, Addison Riney and Kirk and Clark Tackett.
Funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Jack Caldwell, Rev. Culpepper Elliott, Very Rev. Mark Spalding and Rev. John Lesousky officiating.Ê Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
ÊPallbearers will be JoeÊSmith, Addison Riney, Reed Spaulding, Doug Johnson, Terry Richardson and Edward Thompson.Ê Honorary pallbearers will be Tracey Johnson, Debbie Wakefield, Nicole Riney, Kirk Tackett, Clark Tackett, Frank and Jacob Fritts.
Visitation will be from 3:00 till 8:00 p.m. Thursday,ÊNov. 8 andÊFriday from 7:00 till 10:00 a.m. at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
