J.M. Pike, age 79, of Mackville, passed away at 3:27 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg.
He was born in Boyle County on Nov. 6, 1933 to the late Claude Everett and Eva Lena Smock Pike.
He was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church and a retired employee of the former Armour Food Company.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Wilma L. Hilbert and four brothers, Bobby Keith, Donald B., Walter Kenneth and Billy Rue Pike.
Survivors included two sons, Warren Lee Pike and Jason M. Pike; a daughter, Angela Marie Lewis and her husband, Teddy; four grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Helen Lister, all of Mackville and a brother, Carroll Glenn Pike and his wife, Margie of Mercer County.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Walter, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Nelson Reynolds.
Burial was in the Deep Creek Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Larry Pike, Matthew Lewis, Clifford Bottom, Josh Lewis, David Grieve, Teddy Lewis, Michael Byrd and Lee Clement.
Casket bearers were Gary Pike, John Pike, Carroll Pike, Ryan Pike, Ricky Pike and Levi Hardison.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
