Lula Rosaline Nally Mudd age 93, formerly of Short Creek Rd., Fredericktown, passed away peacefully at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx, where she had been a resident for six years.
Born December 6, 1919 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nell Willett Nally, her husband, Richard Lee Mudd, March 15, 1986, a son, Joe Allen Mudd, April 29, 2001, a brother, Bernard Nally and five sisters, Mary Alma Clements, Marjorie Montgomery, Dorothy Kelly, Margaret Heck and Lee Robertson. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Lee (Dickie) Mudd Jr. and his wife Imelda, Donald Vincent Mudd and James Gary (Susan) Mudd all of Louisville; two daughters, Lois Taylor of Springfield and Brenda Louise Beavers of Louisville; a brother, Larry (Flaget) Nally of Bardstown; two sisters, Judy (Jim) McIntyre and Nell Marie (Bob) Bootes all of Louisville; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral mass was conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown with Rev. Matthew Hardesty officiating. Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard, Josh and Eric Mudd, Billy Taylor, Roger Beavers and Kelly Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were John, Dan, Jimmy and Martin Taylor and Jeremy and Aaron Beavers.
Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the care-takers at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary for the wonderful care and attention given to their mother. They would also like to thank the Holy Trinity Berevement Committee members for the delicious meal and comforting friendship following the funeral services.
