Martha Jane "Honey" Riley Tucker, age 70, of Simmstown Road, Springfield, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at her home.
A native of Marion County, she was born on April 30, 1943 to the late Leonard Thornton and Edna Frances Rakes Riley.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, a homemaker and a former employee of Cecconi's Restaurant.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Billy R. Tucker on Sept. 8, 1998; a brother, Leonard "Bud" Riley; three half-sisters, Bessie Ratliff, Blanch Caudill and Gladys Hardin; three nieces, Cindy Tucker, Wendy Tucker and Peggie Lee Tucker; and two nephews, Len Riley and Troy Ray Tucker.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Arnold and her husband, Howard and Tammy Matherly and her husband, Gerald, all of Springfield; three grandchildren, A.J. Arnold, Ivy Arnold and Jimmy Arnold and his wife, Nicole, all of Springfield; a great-grandson, Jason Arnold; two brothers, Everett "Hop" Riley and Perry Riley, both of Springfield; and a half-sister, Delica Windsor of Indiana.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 8 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Claunch, pastor of the, Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Bobby Hodgen, Juanita Hodgen, Robert Hodgen, Dalton Tucker and Zack Terrell.
Casket bearers were A.J. Arnold, Jimmy Arnold, Ivy Arnold, Nicole Arnold, Roy Tucker and Terry Tucker.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
