Mary Aline Ball, 78, Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2013 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
she was born on Jan. 26, 1935 in Washington County.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, loving wife, mother and grandmother, volunteer at Spring View Hospital, and a Marion County High School sports fan.
She was a graduate of St. Catherine High School in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Ball; her parents, Herman and Gertrude Smith; and a brother, Jake Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Kris Horseman (Ron) of Danville, Laura Ball (Sam) of Lebanon,
Rosemarie O'Daniel (Alfred) of Raywick, and Allison Ball (Kevin) of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Jim Ball of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Cameron, Victoria, Lance, Logan, Zachary, Ella, and twin great-grandchildren due to be born in June, Marie and Liam; two sisters, Ann Murphy of Springfield and Nodie Barber of Quincy, Ill.; 13 nieces; and eight nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on April 5 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial at the Lebanon National Cemetery beside her husband, James Donald Ball.
Pallbearers were Cameron Horseman, Bill Pincus, Albert Gutterman, Harold Cecil, Tom Donnelly, Frank Bland, Bruce Higdon and Jimmy Higdon.
The Ball family would like to thank all of our family, friends, Dr. Salem George and his office staff, Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon National Cemetery, and St. Augustine Catholic Church for all their loving support during the death of our parents, Donald and Aline Ball.
